Maths Week 2024
Over the past few days, St Nathy’s College has participated in various challenges and activities to mark Maths Week 2024. Throughout the week, our daily Maths Puzzles were broadcast over the intercom, bringing a buzz of excitement to every classroom as students worked together to solve them. A special congratulations to the five classes who cracked the puzzles first and won sweets as a reward: Ms. Hughes’ 5th year Business class, Mr. McWeeney’s 6th year Engineering class, Ms. Brennan’s 3A Science class and Mr. Brennan’s 2C and 4A History classes.
In addition to the puzzles, our First-Year students took part in a problem-solving activity with the help of their mentors, learning new skills while also having fun. Meanwhile, our Maths teachers challenged their classes with brainteasers from the popular gameshow ‘The 1% Club.’
Well done to everyone who answered all questions correctly and joined the elite 1% Club.
Overall, Maths Week 2024 was a great opportunity for students to engage with mathematics in a fun and competitive way. Well done to everyone who took part, and we look forward to more maths fun next year!
