Safe Cycling for St. Nathy’s TY classes

Our Transition Year students are taking part in a three-week ‘Learn to cycle course’, where they are learning to cycle with “Cycle Right”. Throughout the course, our students will not only improve their cycling abilities but also develop essential road safety skills, including bicycle maintenance and road awareness.

Cycling offers significant benefits, not just for physical fitness but also for mental health and overall well-being, allowing students to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors. Knowing how to cycle is an important life skill, and we would like to thank ‘Roscommon Sports Partnership’ and Ms. Scally, the TY coordinator, for organising this valuable and educational program.  They are looking forward to putting their skills to the test next Wednesday when they go for a cycle around Ballaghaderreen.
