Buzzing Christmas Market
On December 4th and 11th, we the TY’s have held a Christmas market in the school’s study hall. All of the TY mini-companies set up a table displaying their goods. Throughout the day different teachers brought their classes to the market. The companies were very successful with sales in excess of €1000.
A raffle also took place, anybody who made a purchase at the market got a ticket. Over 350 tickets were given out and a winner was pulled out of a bowl. The winner, Ethan McGill, received a hamper with a selection of sweets and the companies’ products. Some of the EAL students in TY sold gracias dolls in aid of Trócaire. They raised €81 over the two weeks for a very worthy cause. On Friday, the 18th, the mini-companies set up their stalls outside Supervalu where we followed up on the success that we had in the school.
