Connacht Athletics

The school year is coming to an end but there are still some students from St .Nathy’s set to represent the school in competitive action!

The “Connacht Finals” for Athletics were held on two days in mid-May (14th and 16th) and we had over 20 students competing over a range of events including Long Jump, Shot, Discuss, Race Walking, Steeplechase, Sprinting and Javelin. All of our students did their best and made us all proud here in the school!

A special mention to 4 students who won medals and a spot in the All-Ireland Finals to be held this weekend in Tullamore:

Nicole McDonnell (Minor Girls Shot and Javelin), Mila Clancy (Inter Girls Long Jump and 300m Hurdles)
Grace Henry (Inter Girls Shot) and Meadbh Lavin (Inter Girls Steeplechase).

They have been tireless workers all year and their dedication has paid off. Good Luck this weekend!
