TY Fun Day Out

It was a damp, dark and very early morning as they boarded the bus in Ballaghderreen, pillows and blankets in hand determined to get some shut eye as they made their way to Dublin. While some students were making their way to Gifted Craft Fair in the RDS the remaining TY’s had a day of fun activities ahead.

The day kicked off with adventure mini golf. In teams of five they set off, some more competitive than others but all having fun.
Before the ice skating there was an opportunity to avail of some downtime in Dundrum shopping centre and get a head start on some Christmas shopping.

Then it was onto the ice-skating where we were joined by the students who made their way over from the RDS
Skates donned and they were ready for the off. It was a rocky start with many clinging to the sides for dear life. There were plenty of slips and falls but as the minutes ticked by the grew in confidence and by the time the hour was up the penguins were set aside as the students were gliding around the ice. Apart from a few bruises all made it off in one piece!

Time allowed for a quick bite to eat and a hot chocolate to warm up before boarding the bus and making the long trek back to the west.

A very enjoyable day was had by all.
