The green schools committee are delighted to announce that we have been awarded our biodiversity green flag!! We were awarded the flag by @antaisce @GreenSchoolsIre on completion of the 7 steps and actions carried out over the last 2 years by our hardworking green schools committee. Committee members have been actively educating and promoting biodiversity in our school and local area through a wind range of actions including surveys, mapping the school grounds, workshops for students, building bug hotels, bird feeders, biodiversity scavenger hunts, planting pollinator beds and a host of related activities. Thanks to Ms. Munnelly for her hard work in overseeing the project.
