Romeo & Juliet
On Friday 28th April, over 80 Junior Cycle English students attended a production of Romeo and Juliet in The Roscommon Arts Centre.
Students saw the play that they have studied, as part of their Junior Cycle Programme, come to life on stage by a group of talented actors.
There is no doubt about the relevance of seeing this production as all of the students will be expected to answer on this play in their upcoming Junior Cycle English exam in a matter of weeks. It was the perfect opportunity to refresh the memories of the students on some key moments, key quotations, character analysis and development as well as experiencing how the play can be brought to life on stage by the use of music, costume and lighting.
All students enjoyed the day and represented the college very well in the packed out theatre!
Thank you to all involved in the organisation of the day and to Mr Brennan, Ms Staunton, Mr Nealon and Ms Sheridan who accompanied the students on the day.
We wish them all the very best in their upcoming exams!
