A massive congratulations to Meeko Yu, TY, who came second in the Law Reform Commission’s National Essay Writing Competition. She did exceptionally well considering there were hundreds of entries from various schools around Ireland. Meeko tackled the subject of “Direct Provision” in her essay and discussed how other international models such as Sweden’s should be advocated for within the Irish state. 

 

Meeko wrote her essay in Irish in consultation with Ms. Reidy and a variety of topical ideas were proposed in consultation with Mr. Creaton. Congratulations and Well done Meeko.
