Bank of Ireland Money Smarts Visit

Ms. Amy Dowling from Bank of Ireland visited our Transition Year and LCA1 students this afternoon as part of the bank’s Money Smarts programme. The session provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn more about financial safety and the importance of being vigilant in an increasingly digital world. Ms. Dowling delivered an engaging and informative presentation on fraud awareness, explaining the different types of scams that people can encounter and highlighting the warning signs to look out for.

She shared practical advice on how to protect personal and financial information, avoid becoming a victim of fraud, and respond appropriately if suspicious activity occurs. Students also received useful tips on card security, safe online shopping, protecting passwords, and using digital banking services responsibly. The talk was both educational and relevant, equipping students with important life skills and helping them become more confident and informed consumers. We would like to thank Ms. Dowling for taking the time to visit us and for sharing her expertise with our students.
