1A Sponsored Walk
As part of their CSPE class 1A decided that they would like to organise an event that would raise funds for break time activities in the school. They decided it would be a good idea to organise a sponsored walk and use the funds raised to purchase a Foosball table that could be used by students at lunchtime.
They set to work getting permission from the Gardai, designing sponsorship cards, and planning the route using Google Maps.
On Wednesday the 25th of May 2022, they set out for their walk at about 10:40am. Luckily the weather stayed dry for them and they enjoyed a little break amid their summer tests. The reward at the end of the walk was a pit stop at SuperValu for some ice cream.
It was a very successful event and they were delighted to raise €511.74. A sincere thank you to all the friends and family who sponsored the students and to their CSPE teacher Mr O’Suilleabhain for helping them organise the event.
