St. Nathy’s Choir spread festive cheer in Ballaghaderreen

This afternoon St. Nathy’s Cathedral, was alive with the joyous sounds of our annual Carol Service. It was a harmonious blend of tradition, spirituality, and community spirit.

The ethereal echoes of carols reverberated through the towering beams of St. Nathy’s roof spreading joy and peace to the town. Among the attendees were our very Reverend Bishop Dempsey, our Principal Fr. Henry, Fr. Kivlehan, Fr. Denis, the students and staff of St. Nathy’s College, parents, grandparents and locals who came to the Cathedral to hear the enchanted and mesmerising chords.

We were particularly delighted to welcome back Ms. Kielty who accompanied our choir on piano. The carols, some centuries old, gained new life under the guidance of Ms. Sheridan who conducted her choir to perfection. We would like to extend a huge ‘Thank You’ to all the RE Department who coordinated and planned the readings so seamlessly, and to everyone who contributed, sang or played.

It was wonderful that the community came together to weave a tapestry of festive joy into the town. An enjoyable festive feast of music was enjoyed by all those fortunate enough to witness it today.
