Senior Girls: St. Nathy’s vs Ballyhaunis
Last Friday, the St.Nathy’s senior football team travelled to Ballyhaunis Community School for a league match. Neither team had lost a game to that date and neither wanted to break their winning streak. Ballyhaunis started the match off with a goal, but the Nathy’s girls didn’t let that dampen their spirits as Karin Roddy answered with two goals for the away team in the following minutes.
From then on Nathy’s dominated the game with two further goals from Tara Phillips and Naoise Wilson and points from Naoise Wilson, Katie Gallagher and Brianna Gorman. The score at half time was 4-8 to 1-1. The Ballyhaunis seniors made a slight comeback in the second half scoring a goal and five points but they couldn’t overcome the Nathy’s girls.
The score at full time was 4-16 to 2-06.
Well done to the senior girls team and their coach Ms Gordon.
