Positive Mental Health Awareness Week

This week we celebrated ‘Positive Mental Health Awareness Week’. It was an exciting event, which promoted Well-being and raised awareness about mental health. The week was filled with engaging activities and fun events.

One of the highlights of the week was “Wacky Wednesday,” a day dedicated to humor and lightheartedness, under the motto “Laughter is the best medicine!” The school enjoyed some fun and laughter. Wacky Wednesday featured all kinds of quirky activities, from jokes wearing wacky wigs and glasses.

A special Thanks to our 5th-year comedians: Sarah, Rebecca, Cathal, and Ewan. Their sense of humor and wacky antics brought smiles to everyone’s faces. They took to the corridors with a series of funny outfits and jokes that had the classes laughing. Their performances not only entertained but also highlighted the importance of humor in dealing with everyday stress and anxiety.

Throughout Positive Mental Health Awareness Week, St. Nathy’s College aimed to encourage open conversations about mental health and promote practices that support emotional well-being. Events like Wacky Wednesday served as a reminder that even small moments of joy can make a big difference. The week was a success in creating a supportive environment where students felt connected, uplifted, and empowered to prioritise their mental health.

A special word of Thanks to Ms. A. Beirne for all her effort, help and advice.
