Mental Health talk for 2nd years

Mental Health talk for Our 2nd Year Students.

On Tuesday April 23rd, Jenna Walsh from the Mayo Mental Health Association visited our school and met with all our Second-Year students. She gave an excellent presentation to our students about Mental Health, and she delivered the BREATHE Programme to them.

This Programme is an evidence based educational talk to promote and facilitate mental health awareness and well-being for students in an interactive format.

What does Breathe cover?

• What Mayo Mental Health Association do.

• What is mental health (general overview).

• Risk & protective factors in relation to maintaining a mentally healthy lifestyle

• How to support someone who may be experiencing a mental health difficulty.

• Language & influence we have on others.

The talk also focuses on the role that social media plays in our lives and how it can impact our mental health.

We would like to thank Jennna and the Mayo Mental Health Association for facilitating this presentation for our students and for their continued support to St.Nathy’s College over many years.
