Maths Week
Last week we celebrated Maths Week in St. Nathy’s College, by putting our students’ problem-solving skills to the test. Each class took part in a special game of “The 1% Club” during Maths classes, where the questions started off easy but got trickier as the rounds went on. Well done to everyone who took part, and special congratulations to the students who answered all 11 questions correctly and officially joined “The 1% Club.”
Throughout the week, there were also maths puzzles announced over the intercom. Congratulations to the classes who cracked the clues the quickest and were rewarded with sweets:
-
Monday: Mr Maye’s 2nd year Woodwork class
-
Tuesday: Ms Mee’s 1E Maths class
-
Wednesday: Mr Hennigan’s Leaving Cert Maths class
-
Thursday: Mr Creaton’s Leaving Cert English class
-
Friday: Ms Kennedy’s 5th year Irish class
The excitement and participation throughout the week proved that maths can be both challenging and great fun.
