Jersey Joy!
The St Nathy’s TY group entered an Instagram Future Leaders competition to design a GAA training top for the O Neill’s Sportswear online shop. Transition Year students from across the country could enter and the winning design would be included on the #GAAFutureLeader online @oneillssportswear club shop and available then to buy online.
The GAA Future Leaders chose eight jerseys for the Quarter Finals and three students from St. Nathys College were included in the Quarter Finals, Alannah McGreal, Nikita Regan and Conor Walsh. The public then voted on their favourite design.
Alannah and Conor were both successful in making it to the semi-final stage with, Nikita just missing out by a narrow margin. Conor’s design was successful in making it through to the final where after a nerve-wracking public vote Conor was victorious receiving 62% of the public votes. There was great excitement at St Nathy’s College. Thanks to everyone who voted as well as the local radio stations, Ocean FM and Midwest Radio for backing Conor’s design.
GAA Future Leaders contacted Conor after the competition to congratulate him and he will receive a Jersey of his own design as well as featuring the design on their O Neill’s sportswear online shop. Very Exciting
