Interview with Celine Shannon

Interview with Celine Shannon about the All Ireland Fleadh.

Q. What instruments do you play?

A. I play the tin whistle,concertina and the flute.

Q. How long have you been playing these instruments?

A. Since I was four of five.

Q. Who teaches you these instruments?

A. Breda Shannon teaches me.

Q. How long have you been competing in competitions?

A. Since I was nine or ten and I’am twelve now.

Q. Do you practice often for competitions? If so how often?

A. Sometimes more than other times but maybe once or twice a day and more so up to the events.

Q. Do you enjoy competing in the fleadh each year? why/why not?

A. Yes it is good fun and i like performing infront of crowds and perfecting new techniques.

Q. Do you ever get nervous for the fleadh or any other music competitions?

A. Yes I do get nervous as I fear that I might slip a note or not have choose the right key for a song but onceĀ I have my firstĀ Ā  tune/song done I’am ok and settled in.
