After checking out of our hotel, we made our way to the city center for a guided bike tour. Though we were initially a bit nervous, we quickly realised that cycling was actually a much easier way to get around than walking! Along the way, we visited several landmarks, including the Anne Frank House, and picked up some fascinating insights into the city’s past.

Next, we drove to the seaside town of Volendam, a classic Dutch fishing village. There, we wandered around, grabbed some lunch, and squeezed in a bit of last-minute souvenir shopping.

Our final destination was ZaanseSchans, where we watched traditional wooden clogs being made and tasted some delicious local cheeses. After snapping one last photo in front of the windmills, it was time to head to the airport.
