Creative Christmas Jumpers for Second-Year CBA
Festive fashion meets sustainability in Home Economics CBA
Our second-year students have truly excelled in creating imaginative and eco-friendly Christmas jumpers as part of their Home Economics Classroom-Based Assessment. These festive designs show that sustainability can be stylish, fun, and full of personality.
Each jumper was carefully crafted using recycled and repurposed materials—from fabric scraps to upcycled decorations—giving every piece its own unique story. The project encouraged students to think creatively while embracing the principles of reducing, reusing and recycling.
The process was as enjoyable as the final results, with plenty of brainstorming, planning, and hands-on work. Kudos to Ms. Fitzpatrick, who organised everything under her watchful, beady eye, ensuring the activity ran smoothly and successfully. This initiative not only showed the students’ design skills but also highlighted the importance of sustainability in everyday life.
