Roscommon Comhairle na nÓg Youth Conference 2025
On Thursday December 4th, students from St. Nathy’s College attended the Roscommon Comhairle na nÓg Annual Youth Conference that was held in The Hub Enterprise Venue in Castlerea. In the first session, students took part in discussions with students from other schools in Roscommon about many of the issues facing young people today. Issues such as mental health and anxiety, facilities for young people in Roscommon, vaping and bullying/cyberbullying were just some of the topics discussed there.
Students also took part in active and fun workshops on Video Making, Dancing and Drumming.
A raffle took place at the end of the conference, and several St. Nathy’s students were lucky prize winners.
Comhairle na nÓg provides young people with an opportunity to discuss and debate matters of relevance to them and their community. It empowers young people and gives them a voice in shaping and developing local and national policies that are relevant to them.
