Basketball success for St. Nathy’s U16 and U19 Boys

Two fantastic wins for St. Nathy’s U16 and U19 Boys’ Basketball today.
St. Nathy’s played host to Tubbercurry for their first games of the year.
With some vital league games on the horizon for both teams, today was the ideal opportunity to put all that was learned in training to the test.
There were some great performances today from both teams with some outstanding players. For our U16 Boys, Sean Buckley and Declan Duffy. For the U19 Boys, Conor Walsh and Jim Molloy.
More importantly, both teams showed great determination, sportsmanship, teamwork and modesty on the day against Tubbercurry who have just begun their journey this year with Boys’ Basketball. We thank them for coming to Ballaghaderreen and we will hopefully return the favour later on in the year and travel to St. Attracta’s in Tubbercurry!
Well done to both teams, it makes us thirsty for the upcoming matches later this year.
Both teams ran out winners with impressive scorelines.
U16 won 34-09
U19 won 38-08
Thanks to the coaches, Niall Freeman, Mr Brennan and Mr Igoe.
