All-Ireland Athletics
The All-Ireland Schools Athletics finals were held in Tullamore Harriers athletics ground on 31st of May and 1st of June.
Two students from St. Nathy’s made their way down for the event having both been crowned Connaught Champions in their sports.
Mila Clancy represented the school in the ‘Intermediate Girls Long Jump’ and Grace Henry represented the school in the ‘Junior Girls Shot Put and Discus’ events.
In scorching conditions both of our girls performed really well and were very unlucky to miss out on a medal.
Mila jumped 5 m 33 cm to miss out on a medal by just 1cm! (She came 4th).
Grace threw a PB in the Shot Put final to finish 5th. She also had a longer throw that was judged a foul on a razor thin decision.
She placed 7th in Discus in her first year competing in the event.
