A Final of Fire and Heart: Heads Held High After an Epic Effort

Hard luck to our Junior ladies’ football team, who lost to Jesus and Mary, Salerno in the Connacht final on January 28th, after extra time. In what was an entertaining and exciting game of football, both sides showed tremendous skill and determination. Unfortunately, after 80 minutes of football, the Nathys girls just came up short, with a final score of 5-8 to 5-12.

The girls showed great commitment all year, played some excellent football, and above all are a wonderful group to work with. They support and encourage each other, and even in defeat they can hold their heads high and be proud of all they achieved this year.

We wish them all the best as they return to club football over the coming months and look forward to seeing them representing St. Nathy’s again next year.
