U19 Girls Badminton
Our U19 girls had a very successful day at the Connacht Badminton Finals on Tues 12th March. 3 teams were entered into the competition, 1 in the B division and 2 in the C division.
The B team of Jessie Feeney, Zoe Kelly, Madeline Bell and Amy Kelly had comfortable wins over Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown and Sacred Heart School, declaring them overall winners on the day. They now compete at the All Ireland Finals next week.
The C teams, team 1 of Roisin Maloney, Saoirse Towey, Rebecca Caulfield, Unniza Ali and team 2 with Ciara Morley, Grainne Fitzgerald, Siobhan Regan, Theresa Devine had great wins over Ballyhaunis Community School and Salerno, Salthill. This set up a final with our two teams competing against each other for gold. Team 1 got the better of team 2 to win the C final.
