U-16 Girls Match

On Tuesday 3rd December, St Nathy’s U-16 girls travelled to Oranmore to play St. Killian’s New Inn from Ballinasloe. The game started at 12:15 and it was Nathy’s who started off brilliantly with scores coming from Megan McCormack, Rebecca Maxwell and Meaveen Greene.

Ballinasloe responded with two points which made the score at the end of the 1st quarter to Nathy’s. In the second quarter, Nathy’s girls took off with 10 points scored without any response. A further six points from Meaveen and Megan really put this game away. St Killian’s scored four points to end the half making the halftime score 23-6 to Nathy’s. The third quarter was quiet with only 9 points scored between the two sides. At the end of the 3rd quarter, the score was 28-10 to Nathy’s. The game was really won in the 2nd quarter but Nathy’s girls kept pushing for a bigger win. They scored 9 points in the last quarter beating St. Killians 7 points.

The final score was 37-17 to Nathy’s.
