Math’s Week added up to a success!
Last week we celebrated Math’s Week in St Nathy’s College where the TY’s with the help of their Maths teacher, Ms Scally, organised a math’s quiz for all second year students. The students paid €1.00 to participate in the quiz. The quiz included 27 math’s riddles. The two winners were Ronan McGarry and Christopher Magee who each won a €15 One for All gift voucher. The rest of the money raised will start the school SVP charity fund.
They chose SVP as their charity in response to Helen Ralph’s visit. Helen visited the TY class on Wednesday to talk to the group about the St. Vincent De Paul charity and the Young SVP school initiative. It was a pleasure to have Helen at the school and the students are looking forward to seeing her again soon.
Well done to all second years who took part in the math’s quiz. It proved to be a very close contest!
