Loughglynn Foroige Make Top 6.

Loughglynn Foroige Club held their area proud when they travelled to Dublin Castle on Wednesday the 30th October for the Foroige Youth Citizenship Awards. We were ome of six clubs to make it through to the national finals. Our project was titled Carbon Monoxide and Fire Safety Awareness.

We held an awareness night when local fireman Micheal Frain came to talk to and inform people on the subject. We sold carbon monoxide alarms at a reduced cost of €12 on the night. We followed this up by putting it in local papers and on our local radio station, Mid West Radio.

We entered the Citizenship Regional competition during the summer which we won this going through to the National final battling it out against five other clubs. Unfortunately, we didn’t win the national final but we had a great day in Dublin Castle and we did Loughglynn proud.
