Roscommon Bound Passports

Some of our LC students travelled to Roscommon town for an event on Monday 16th May where they were presented with their Roscommon Bound Passports.

As part of the event they heard from Mark Kavanagh.
Mark gave an inspirational talk telling students of his own journey, overcoming challenges and how he pursued a career in pharmacy following his accident.
He spoke of ‘impressing yourself each day’, being mindful that everyone you meet has their own story and challenges and that ‘our limitations are only perceived’.

Joe Murphy Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council presented students with their Roscommon Passports which represents the ‘Rossie’ links they will also have at home and abroad. Mr Murphy spoke about the Roscommon Bound Passport initiative, which promotes and celebrates all aspects of County Roscommon.
Thanks to our Guidance Counsellor Ms Beirne who accompanied the students on the day.
