SCHOOL TRUSTEE & PATRON

PRESENT TRUSTEE:

Following his Ordination as Bishop of Achonry in January 2008, Mgr. Brendan Kelly became the Trustee and Patron of St. Nathy’s College. Prior to being appointed Bishop of the Diocese, Mgr. Kelly had a number of academic appointments.

From 1972 to 1980 he taught in the Galway diocesan post-primary college, Coláiste Einde, and, similarly, from 1980 to 1986 in Our Lady’s College, Gort, of which he was subsequently President from 1986 to 1995.


PAST TRUSTEE:

Bishop of the Diocese of Achonry – Bishop Thomas Flynn. Bishop Flynn is the longest serving member of the Irish Hierarchy.

Ordained Bishop on February 20th, 1977 he has served as Bishop of Achonry for thirty years.  Prior to becoming bishop he was on the teaching staff and president of St. Nathy's College.
